About us

Trust is our foundation

The Foundation Al-Amin exists to close the gap between hardship and opportunity. We back programs that promote social welfare and reduce inequality, encourage financial responsibility and literacy so families can build lasting stability, and foster the goodwill that keeps communities strong. Every initiative we support is chosen for one reason: it helps people stand on their own, with dignity.

What we do

Our work is organised around six programs

Social welfare support

Emergency aid and essential resources for families facing hardship.

Migrants and refugees support

Practical assistance and guidance for those rebuilding their lives after displacement.

Financial literacy & responsibility

Workshops and one-to-one coaching that reduce debt and build long-term financial safety.

Access to quality education

Financial aid for students from challenging backgrounds.

Youth & career development

Mentorship and resources that help the next generation build stable futures.

Community goodwill programs

Local initiatives that bring communities together and strengthen mutual support networks.

How we work

Four commitments that guide every program we run.

Listen first

We start with the community’s own account of what’s needed.

Partner locally

We fund and support organisations already rooted in the community.

Measure what matters

We track outcomes, not just activity.

Stay accountable

Full transparency in how funds are used.

Our values

The Foundation Al-Amin embodies social justice and equity, fostering compassion and responsibility within the community. We believe wealth and success are meaningful only when they alleviate poverty and promote solidarity, reinforcing the importance of caring for one another.

Compassion

We treat every person we serve with dignity, not charity as spectacle.

Integrity

We do what we say we’ll do, with the funds entrusted to us.

Equity

We aim resources at the people who need them most.

Community

Change lasts longest when communities build it together.

Testimonials

Some testimonials shared by our partners and beneficiaries from the different foundation’s programs.

When our son needed emergency surgery, we had exhausted every option and every saving we had. Foundation Al-Amin stepped in when we didn’t know where else to turn, and covered what we couldn’t. He’s healthy today because people we’d never met chose to trust us with their support. I don’t have the words to thank them enough.

Aziz M.

Parent supported through the Social Welfare Support program

I sincerely thank AMECO for the merit-based scholarship they awarded me. This support allowed me to pursue my studies with greater peace of mind and was a true source of motivation. Thank you for your trust and commitment to Moroccan students in Bulgaria.

Chaimae L.

Student supported through the Access to quality education program

Our organisation works with migrant families every day, and finding steady careers for young people is often the biggest hurdle to real stability. Partnering with Foundation Al-Amin’s Youth & Career Development program gave our community mentorship and support we couldn’t have offered alone. It’s made a measurable difference in how many of the young people we support are able to put down roots locally.

Othmane B.

NGO treasurer supported through the Youth & career development program

Ameco was my home away from home in Bulgaria.

As an association of Moroccans who support each other, it provided me with support, advice, and a true community.

Thanks to Ameco, I never felt alone; I felt like I was part of a family.
